Stephen Curry has attained a place in basketball folklore that very few players can claim to have reached. He has gained immortality due to his stellar exploits for the Golden State Warriors. Furthermore, he is also regarded as the greatest shooter in NBA history. Even in his mid-30s, Steph has continued to dominate and perform at an All-NBA level. This season, Steph has averaged 28 points, 4.4 rebounds and 5 assists per game.

His exceptional form for the Dubs hasn’t gone unnoticed, as he made his tenth All-Star Game appearance on Sunday. Steph played 26 minutes in his 10th appearance, and recorded 16 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Following his satisfactory performance in the All-Star Game, Curry provided insights into his experience during the latest All-Star Game in a recent interview with ESPN’s Malika Andrews.

Anthony Edwards yelled at Stephen Curry during All-Star practice

During a conversation with ESPN’s Malika Andrews, Steph revealed that things got chippy between him and Anthony Edwards in All-Star Practice. Steph said, “Ant Edwards, who’s here for the second time, he just yelled at me during practice, like ‘came a long way from your camp’. I remember him being a Curry Camp participant.”

While it was all fun and games between the two, Anthony Edwards’ accession from a Curry Camp participant to a 2x NBA All-Star just puts into perspective the longevity of Stephen Curry’s brilliance.

Edwards was one of several high school basketball players who participated in Curry Camp back in 2018. However, it was a 17-year-old Ant Edwards who caught Steph’s eye because of his demeanor and competitive spirit. During an interview with Complex in August 2023, Curry reminisced about the time Ant participated in his camp. He said, “He just had a different demeanor and different competitive presence out there on the court during our camp sessions and even in the showcase game that we had. There were just plays that he made that nobody else really could.”

Apart from Anthony Edwards, several current NBA players have also taken part in Curry Camps. NBA stars like Trae Young and Jalen Green, along with highly touted prospects like Cooper Flagg and Dylan Harper, have also participated in camps hosted by Curry. The annual Curry Camp is generally hosted during the month of August in the Bay Area, just as the NBA players begin to ramp up their preseason preparations.
