A verdict has been reached following KSI’s appeal of his defeat to Tommy Fury in October.
The two rivals met in the main event of the Misfits Boxing card at the AO Arena in Manchester, with Fury emerging victorious in the six-round slugfest.
KSI lost his undefeated record and was furious, branding the result a “robbery” and “outrageous”.
Fury, who also beat Jake Paul in Saudi Arabia, had a point deducted for a point to the back of the head.
The Professional Boxing Association released a statement, which read:”The PBA confirms that an independent review panel, consisting of two of the country’s leading King’s Counsel and a third lawyer, has determined that there are no grounds to overturn the KSI vs Tommy Fury fight result from October 14, 2023.”
KSI’s team have since said they will issue a second appeal in a bid to get the result changed.
Image: InstagramIt was initially first announced as a majority decision victory for Fury but a day on the result was amended because of a mistake with one of the scorecards.
Michael Buffer announced that judge Rafael Ramos scored the fight a 57-57 draw but he actually scored it the same as the two other judges ringside, meaning it was a unanimous decision win for Fury in his hometown.
He therefore moved on to 10-0 and pledged to move away from the influencer boxing scene for good.
Image: GettyKSI, however, was clamouring for that rematch in his seething post-match interview.
He brought an unorthodox style to the table but plenty felt as though his approach worked a treat.
DAZN CEO Joe Markowski and Matchroom chief Eddie Hearn both felt as though KSI was the rightful winner, as did former middleweight champion Chris Eubank.
