Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship timeline allows for a “natural progression”, but an expert has also warned them not to rush in just because it’s cuffing season.

The 33-year-old hitmaker, who will release her 1989 (Taylor’s Version) album tomorrow, is dating Kansas City Chiefs hunk Travis Kelce, 34. The couple have been seen out and about on several occasions, with the singer supporting the tight end at his football games, and the pair even staying at each other’s homes.

And as the couple approaches the three-month-mark since they were thought to have first met in July – after Travis expressed his interest in the singer and made a bracelet for her with his phone number on it – The Mirror has asked senior therapist and relationship expert Sally Baker from Working On The Body if their relationship timeline fits with what a solid couple would experience.

Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, Sally said: “The trajectory from initial attraction and dating to falling in love typically unfolds over a period of around three months. While every relationship is unique, this timeframe allows for a natural progression of getting to know someone, developing intimacy, and assessing compatibility before deeper feelings take hold.”

She noted that the autumn and winter months “tend to be seasons that are especially conducive to coupling up and settling into new relationships”. And then added that “as the weather cools, people often seek out opportunities for connection and companionship to ‘cozy down’ with. The holidays and associated events also provide occasions to spend quality time with a new partner.”

Concluding her analysis, Sally said that three months is a “reasonable benchmark for assessing the long-term potential of a new partnership”, but then gave Taylor and Travis a warning. She said: “However new couples should avoid rushing important relationship milestones simply because it’s cuffing season.”

This comes after it was reported that the lovebirds have taken the next step in their relationship with a lush new pad that has cost an eye-watering $6 million. The mansion in Kansas City boasts six bedrooms, six baths, and sprawls across 17,000 square feet as well as offering more privacy and seclusion for the couple as attention their blossoming romance continues.
