The stars of this year’s BAFTAs were all smiles backstage as they celebrated the huge night of film.

Emma Stone and Idris Elba came together to fight over her award, while David Beckham joked around in a lift with Shirley O’Connor, Savanah Leaf and Medb Riordan. Huge stars of the big screen headed in London on Sunday night for the British Academy Film Awards. Oppenheimer won big at the ceremony as they scooped up seven awards.

They took home Best Film, Best Actor for Cillian Murphy, Supporting Actor for Robert Downey Jr and Director for Christopher Nolan. Poor Things also enjoyed great success including Best Actress for Emma Stone. Accepting her award, she said: “Since we’re in London, I want to start by thanking dialect coach.” She praised him for not laughing at her when he taught her how to say ‘water’.
