North West, 10, Is One Of The Youngest Musicians To Chart On Billboard Hot 100, Kim Kardashian And Kanye West React To Daughter’s Achievement

North West is making her mark in the music industry.

The oldest daughter of Kim Kardashian and Ye, formally known as Kanye West, is now one of the youngest artists to chart on Billboard’s Hot 100 with her appearance on her dad’s song, ‘Talking.’ It dropped earlier this month as part of Ty Dolla $ign and Ye’s ‘Vultures 1’ album.

In the song, 10-year-old North West rapped,

“It’s your bestie, miss, miss Westie. Don’t try to test me; it’s gonna get messy. It’s gonna get messy. Just, just bless me.”

SKIMS founder Kim Kardashian and musical icon Ye are proud of their daughter. They both took to Instagram today, Feb. 21, to post about North West’s recent accomplishment.

On Ye’s Instagram Story, the rapper re-shared another post that confirmed his daughter’s achievement. It read,

“North West earns her first ever entry on the Hot 100 this week with ‘TALKING.’ She becomes one of the youngest artists to ever chart, at age 10.”

On Kim Kardashian’s Instagram Story, the reality TV star reposted the same post with the caption “My baby!!!!” with a clapping, heart, and heart hands emoji.

Before North West, other youngest artist to first chart on Billboard Hot 100 was French singer Jordy at age five with the song “Dur dur detre bebe! (It’s Tough to Be a Baby!).”

Meanwhile, the youngest soloist to top the list was Stevie Wonder with “Finger Tips – Pt. 2” at age 13.

It’s also important to note that it’s been a successful week for Ye and Ty Dolla $ign. All 16 songs from their collaboration album ‘Vultures 1’ debuted on the Billboard Hot 100, with their song ‘Carnival’ at No. 3. According to reports, that’s the sixth-most songs in the chart’s history after Drake, Taylor Swift, the Glee Cast, Lil Wayne, and Future.
